Joe Weider dies at 93 and joins Jack Lalanne in training heaven.
While the peons marvel at these "fitness" icons longevity, it would be more interesting to consider how much further they would have lived if they were consistently PERFORMANCE TRAINING to the present.
It is my assumption that it is most likely that they have "retired" from performance training to a "maintenance/recreational level" or have stopped entirely believing they are in their sunset years and thus, experience other aspects of life. You can easily assume that by noticing the presence of muscular dystrophy in some of their photos. Degradation not present in many OLD performance athletes (body builders/powerlifters).
Either way, congratulations to a life well lived Weider.
