Recently I watched an episode of DOG WHISPERER where the subject (a dog), was undergoing acupuncture. The veterinarian explained in very MATERIALIST TERMS that "acupuncture released serotonin, improved circulation.." and that's why it is effective. Meanwhile (in the video), the vet was actually using a cleaning (sweeping) technique of pranic healing/chi qong.
My contentions are:
1. Why didn't they mention the pranic healing/chi qong aspect. Why only the acupuncture methodology (which is substantiated by several medical studies).
2. It is obvious that the vet (and cesar milan) knew the true dynamics and fundamentals of what was happening. The question is, why all the secrecy?
Obviously, for acceptance and believability. At the price of giving other people a chance to truly learn the truth.
Btw, for skeptics out there. The dog doesnt' have to believe in the treatment. Obviously, he doesn't know that he is being treated and even if it was a chinese dog, definitely has no idea what acupuncture is in the first place. For the record, the treatments worked.
